PepsiCo unveils “Women, the 5G Network,” at the annual BlogHer 2010 conference. “Women, the 5G Network” is a provocative, interactive dialogue around the power, potential and promise of women as transformational business leaders, influential media personalities and engaged consumers.
As a summit for online women community leaders, BlogHer is the ideal venue to engage in dialogue with digital influencers, offering PepsiCo an opportunity to demonstrate its dedication to “leading by listening.” BlogHer 2010 marks PepsiCo’s second year as a lead sponsor. The company values the conference as an opportunity to continue building dialogue with the inspiring women in attendance.
PepsiCo’s Activities at BlogHer 2010:
Women, the 5G Network – The Sofa Summit
Moderated by award-winning journalist Campbell Brown, formerly of CNN and NBC, with several of PepsiCo’s female leaders, including Sarah Robb O'Hagan, Chief Marketing Officer, Gatorade; Julie Hamp, Senior Vice President, Chief Communications Officer, PepsiCo; and Dondeena Bradley, Vice President, Global Design and Development, Nutrition Ventures, the Sofa Summit examines the potential of women, the ultimate 5G Network, as transformational business leaders, influential media and engaged consumers.
PepsiCo BlogCast Studio & Women, the 5G Network – The Interview Series
Partnering with Momversation, PepsiCo creates the ultimate gathering spot for attendees of BlogHer to meet, exchange ideas and information, sample PepsiCo products and share their opinions and outlook about the passions, promise and point of view of the 5G Network.
“Promise Poll”
A brief, four question, text-to-vote poll for attendees to share their thoughts about social responsibility and sustainability with the PepsiCo Zeitgeist mining Twitter conversations and presenting trends in real time.
PepsiCo Dream Machine
PepsiCo Dream Machine kiosks and bins are stationed throughout the conference. The Dream Machine program was designed around PepsiCo's goal to increase the beverage container recycling rate in the U.S. from 34 to 50 percent by 2018. Through computerized kiosks, consumers can collect and redeem points for recycling, and for each bottle or can recycled in a Dream Machine, PepsiCo will provide funding to the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV), a national program offering free, experiential training in entrepreneurship and small business management to post-9/11 veterans with disabilities.
